Park Güell Tour. Don't miss the Park Güell: it will really surprise you! There is no other park in the world like this one! Antoni Gaudí's architectural marvel was commissioned by Count Güell who wanted him to design a classy estate with family homes. Today it is a public park that belongs to the city's heritage. It was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site and is yet another marvelous wonder that awaits you in Barcelona.
When you go to Park Güell, you should enter using the big dragon staircase decorated with the Catalan style ceramic tile mosaic of known as “trencadís.” This iconic dragon is one of the most recognisable images of Barcelona. The park is arranged around a large central square bordered by a snaking, “trencadís”-covered bench and was originally written ‘Park Güell’ (using the English spelling). Beneath the square, the roof is supported by 86 Doric columns, trees with avenues between them, and viaducts on sloping columns: Gaudí's unequalled work combines nature and architecture in perfect harmony.
Follow the Sagrada Familia Tour, which will take you to one of Antoni Gaudi’s treasures. The famous architect Antoni Gaudí, one of the greatest innovators of his time, lived and worked in Barcelona, leaving behind a legacy of many treasures for the discerning tourist to find.
The Sagrada Familia is one of the most visited buildings on earth. Be amazed at the sight of this famous church's astounding interior, boasting vaults that reach seventy metres in height. Antoni Gaudí designed a Latin cross plan, with five aisles and extremely ornate and symbolic details. You must not miss the Sagrada Familia museum, where you will see drawings, plaster models and pictures chronicling the history and development of this basilica from its early inception to the magnificent building that you can see today. You can learn all about Antoni Gaudi´s life and career in this wonderful museum.
