Come enjoy an adventure to Pamukkale that takes you between the stunning Taurus Mountains and across incredible Turkish sceneries. There will be a breakfast stop on the way (not included in price). Once you reach Pamukkale you can stop and admire the extraordinary views of the famous travertines and take memorable pictures.
Keep in mind that “Pamukkale” means cotton castle in Turkish and you will understand exactly why it’s called that once you witness the snowy-white terraces. Appreciate this fascinating wonder of nature, where natural hot springs run down the mountainside and become solid into white rock pools, thus forming cliffs of outstanding beauty.
Its no wonder Pamukkale’s travertines were listed as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1988. You are also more than welcome take off your shoes and walk through this fairyland of basins filled with steamy clear water as you take in the gorgeous landscape. Its then time to move towards the ancient city of Hierapolis, situated above the travertines. Learn about the ancient city’s fascinating history and culture through the Byzantine and Roman years, as you check out the perfectly preserved Roman theatre and ancient thermal baths.
This tour also includes seeing the Temple of Apollo, the Nymphaeum, the Necropolis and a 4th century basilica. You can even get the chance to bathe inside the main thermal pool, also known as Cleopatra’s pool, which feels like swimming in warm bubbly water, so don’t forget your swimwear!
