The tour will start with a night drive around the city itself, offering stunning views of the fortifications and the city’s spectacular night lights. The coach will stop at the Valetta Waterfront for a photo opportunity before proceeding to the main gate of the city.
After a short walking tour, you will have the opportunity to learn more about Maltan history by viewing the Malta 5D show.
Following the show, you will proceed via coach to Mdina. This many-named city, which may be better-known to Shakespeare enthusiasts as Medina, is also known as the Silent City. The air of serenity that this hilltop city exudes is unmatched anywhere in the world, and the only way to truly explore Mdina, getting the full effect of its narrow streets and rambling byways, is on foot. Mdina is not only a jewel of a city, but the ancient walled city remains one of the most well-preserved examples of medieval fortifications remaining in the world. Said fortifications offer an unmatched view of the island itself.
After a break for drinks or coffee, you will depart Mdina for a visit to Mosta, a Roman-inspired church boasting the third-largest unsupported dome in the world. This 18th-century structure became famous during World War II, when a bomb dropped against it failed to explode, sparing the lives of at least three hundred people.
