Enjoy some time seeing the sights of Livorno by bike
Livorno is entirely flat, so visiting Livorno by bike is the best way to discover and enjoy the city and suitable for all ages. Set off to visit the historic district of Venice (yes, Livorno has its own Venice!) with its picturesque canals and churches, then on to the Fortezza Nuova which makes an ideal photo stop. Hop back on the bike and head for Piazza della Repubblica, an impressive 18,000 m2 which makes it one of the largest piazzas in Italy. Carry on to the historic covered market, and have a short top to enjoy its colours and smells. Next it's off to the charming buildings of old Livorno, the Duomo, Piazza Cavour, the Goldoni Theatre, and the church of Santa Maria del Soccorso on Piazza Magenta. From the city centre continue onwards through the Terrazza Mascagni to end on the beautiful promenade.
