Giglio and Giannutri Islands of Tuscany
Quick Overview
Giglio & Giannutri Islands of Tuscany - duration 14h 15m
Make the most of a lovely day by wandering around the Giglio and Giannutri islands, both famous for their incredible beaches, the cerulean waters surrounding them, their nature untouched by man and historic sites. Enjoy your day at the beach, have your lunch on the boat and tour an ancient Roman Villa.
Getting an early start to your day, meet with your tour leader at the rendezvous point and head out on your trip.
You will visit Talamone by coach, where a comfortable boat awaits you. Talamone is an ancient Gulf town whose port served as an important Etruscan and Roman commercial point all throughout history.
Revel in a refreshing ocean breeze on the one-hour boat ride to Giglio Island.
When you reach the island, you will have the opportunity to discover it by yourself. It is possible to reach the main beaches using public transport or via scooter (both are optional and at your own expense).
When it is time for lunch, hop back on and go on travelling to Giannutri or enjoy the afternoon wandering Giglio Island.
If you choose the second option, you may benefit from a 40-minute boat ride to see more beautiful beaches with cerulean waters.
While you are on the island, you could also choose to be part of a guided tour a Roman Villa (optional and at your own expense).
Following a splendid day spent walking in history and nature, the boat takes you back to Talamone to a coach waiting on you. Take a seat and relax on the drive back to Florence.
