Discovering Gozo - duration 8h
Enjoy a tour of beautiful Gozo, including the basilica, Dwejra Bay and the local craft shop.
Following a twenty-minute crossing, you set foot in Gozo and realize that even though both islands bear similar histories and development, Gozo's character is completely unique.
This tour takes you to the National Blessed Virgin of Ta’ Pinu Shrine, which is a Roman Catholic basilica and national shrine near Gharb village. It is on a cliff's edge in open countryside, enabling guests to enjoy scenic views.
Next, you will visit Dwejra Bay where you can see The Inland Sea and il-Gebla tal-General.
You can also take a short boat ride if the weather allows.
A visit to a craft shop is an absolute must – you cannot miss the beautiful locally worked stone, marble, lace or traditional foods offered here. This is the best place to buy a souvenir as a reminder of your time in Gozo.
Next you will visit Victoria, the capital city of Gozo. Close to the city you will be shown to the remains of a Neolithic settlement, while the Cittadella occupies the heart of Victoria. Victoria is also the site of a beautifully preserved ancient prison and the Courts of Justice.
After touring Victoria, you stop to grab lunch at a Rabat restaurant.
Lastly, you will drive to Mgarr Port via Qala Belvedere to enjoy spectacular views before hopping on a ferry to return to Malta.
