You begin with a sightseeing tour by bus that will take you up the classy Passeig de Gràcia, where you will see the most famous Gaudi houses, casa Batlló and La casa Mila (La Pedrera) and other majestic buildings from the Modernist period.
You will be taken to the sea where you can admire the intense changes the city underwent when it prepared to host the Olympic Games in 1992. You will drive by the Arc de Triomf, Ciudadela Park, the Olympic Village, the Olympic Port, the beach and the fisherman’s quarter, called Barceloneta, the Port Vell, Plaza (square) de Colon with its famous Columbus monument, indicating direction he set sail in when he started his journey to discover the Americas. This is also the start of the famous shopping street called the Ramblas of Barcelona. The visit continues with a drive up to Montjuïc where you will have a short stop at Olympic Stadium Lluis Companys. You will continue driving upwards until your reach Montjuïc Castle to enjoy a cable car ride with priceless city views. The bus will pick you up at the last station and your Montjuïc visit takes you past the sports facilities built for the 1992 Olympic Games: the Lluis Companys stadium, the Palau Sant Jordi, the Olympic swimming pool Picornell until you reach the Spanish Village. Visit this pleasant place where you can admire a collection of traditional buildings from all over Spain, and a demonstration of a selection of the handcrafts made in different parts of this country.
After the Spanish village visit, you will leave Montjuïc behind and head back down to the city centre. On the drive back to the city centre you can admire the Venetian Towers, the Montjuïc fountains, the MNAC and the CC, “Las Arenas” rebuilt over the ancient “PlazadeToros” (bullrings). You will arrive at the right place to start your walking tour of the old city centre, Plaza de Catalunya. The guide will take you to the Ramblas, Cathedral Square, through the narrow streets of the Gothic quarter and to plaza Sant Jaume, where you will see the City Hall and the Catalonian government headquarters. The tour ends at the Plaza de Catalunya, in front of the Hard Rock Café, in the city centre, about 10 minutes walking distance from the tour office.

Known as the capital of Modernism, Barcelona is also the place where the famous architect, Antoni Gaudí, lived and worked. One of the greatest innovators of his time, Gaudi left behind numerous treasures in Barcelona for the discerning tourist to find. This Barcelona Artistic Tour starts at the Julia Travel Office (Balmes 5). You will be taken to the Sagrada Familia (Holy Family) Basilica, Gaudi's unfinished masterpiece and Barcelona's most famous landmark. The guide will take you on a walking tour of the Sagrada Familia exterior, to marvel at the opulence and and symbolism of the ornate facades, where vaults reach up to seventy metres in height. Then, you will explore Gaudi's strange Park Güell, declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site. You will be intrigued and astonished by this whimsical public park with its perfect integration of architectural elements with natural beauty.
The tour goes on to Passeig de Gràcia for a tour of Gaudi's famous apartment buildings including Casa Mila “La Pedrera”, Casa Batlló and other modernist buildings. Your tour will come to a close near the Casa Batlló - Passeig de Gràcia, 43.
From the end of January to the beginning of March (dates to be confirmed) the cable car will be out of order for maintenance and so this service will be replaced.
