Island Tour-Thassos

Island Tour-Thassos

Quick Overview

Get the opportunity to discover the Emerald Island. Our first stop will be Panagia, which is a traditional village with rich history. It is a lovely community that retains much of its tradition. There are springs of crystalline water that run down the mountain and flow through canals in the village which captivate anyone who sees them. The water is very cold and very clean, perfect for soothing your thirst on a hot summer day. The architecture of the buildings here is far more different from all the rest towns and villages of Thassos. Then we head to Aliki Beach. It consists of two small beaches with white sand surrounded by olive trees and pine trees, situated in a pretty bay. The water is crystal clear and there you will be able to swim and relax for a long time. Aliki Beach has some ancient sites and saltpans. Our next stop will be the Monastery of Archangel Michael, which is the biggest and the most famous monastery of Thassos and it was built in the 18th century. The interesting feature of this monastery, which is exclusively female, is that it is built at the edge of a cliff. Thus it gives a spectacular view of the Aegean Sea. The nuns are very hospitable. After we will have lunch at Psili Amos.
