Kos City Tour
We start this excursion with a visit to the Odeon, the old Roman theatre that was unearthed in 1929. On the opposite side of the Odeon is the western excavation site, said to be an ancient “gymnasium”, there guests can visit the Nymphaeum and Xysto ruins from the Hellenistic and Roman eras. We take a walk through the old town and end up in the main square where is located the museum, full of many interesting historical artefacts from the different periods of Kos rich history. We’ll make one last stop to the Plane (Platanos) tree of Hippocrates near the ancient Castle Fortress on the harbor. It said that 2500 years ago Hippocrates, the father of the medicine taught his students under that tree. And of course, you will have time to enjoy a small snack and a glass of Ouzo before going back to the hotel.
